About Us
In the midst of 2020 during the first few months of the lockdown, us roommates sat in our living room working from home every day. During this time, plenty of crazy ideas were bounced off one another as a way to beat the doldrums. Every now and then, one idea would make it past the concept stage. Those included:
- A ghost kitchen that operated between the hours of 1am and 4am called Nonsense Late Night
- Replacing our coffee table with a massive cigar humidor
- Throwing on the CW tv show Gossip Girl as a joke and then jokingly, definitely not seriously, watching all 6 seasons in 2 weeks.
- They did not give Serena and Nate enough screen time together….haha
- Started actively posting in a North Shore Beef Facebook page
- Got banned from Quiplash for joining random games
- Created a fake running club to get sponsorship discounts from some top athleisure brands – not as hard as it sounds
- Started calling milk “moo goo” – somehow still hasn’t caught on
- Custom hats with a snake in the logo
Surprising or unsurprisingly, depending on if you’re cool or not, the only idea in the list above that actually received any positive feedback from all of our friends were these hats we created with a logo we made on Microsoft Paint. It was obviously sweet to have friends reach out about acquiring some of our hats, but once we started getting stopped in public (subtext) by strangers asking about the hats everywhere we went, we figured this might be something worth spending some time on beyond the usual 2-3 weeks.
So here we are. And here you are. We wish we could say something profound about why we created this or give you some all-encompassing mission statement. Sure - it’d be nice to say this brand has been passed down from generation to generation for the past 4 years, but that is not the case. Really, creating this brand was just a massive leap of faith….off a 5-foot cliff. So if you want to join us on this amazing, half-second long free fall of chance, wonder, and fate, add something you like to your cart and we’ll all count down from 3…2…1…
Thank you and stay perfect,
